The Beckoning

The sea calls as I stand upon the shore
Deep calling to deep, there is so much more…
I’ve dreamed my dreams and looked at ocean’s door…
There’s a longing in my heart to go explore.
Time does not stand still…nor will
The waves tossed to and fro…
Like time upon the waters, they’re young, and then grow old…
The sea calls as I listen, a wish that I could go…
But the land-line I am tethered to, bids me, no…
Another life, another time…I shall seek the stars above and seas below…
Come the morning I will know…
My heart and my soul…
Will sail to worlds unknown…

  1. This reflection is superb, Marla! Deep calls to deep, and God calls us upon our designated journeys in life. We can always dream, and wake up knowing where the Lord means for us to go.
