The Wee Three Squad

Big brother E-1, little sister L, baby brother E-2, we are Wee Three…
BBE-1’s superpower is leader, mentor, athletic, brave and strong.
LSL’s superpower is music, dance and song
BBE-2’s superpower is strength, healing and perseverance he’s faced giants and won…
They are the Wee Three…different, but the same…
From strong brave parents, Wee Three came…
Scaling tall hurdles…they jump and climb and run and play…
Parks and pools and backyard schools…
IPads, baby dolls, cars, rattles, and dad…mommy to the rescue when they are sad…
Diapers flying faster than the speed of light…
Nanny Emily takes to the fight…
Rocking and consoling BBE-2 he’s taken to sweet dreams; he’s going nite-nite
Bath time and dinner time for BBE-l and LSL’s flight…
Into dream land when dad and mom step in to say goodnight…
An Irish lullaby sung, heavy eyelids close in delight…
The Wee three…at rest before more adventures begin…
Round and round the Wee Three go…Super heroes, their parents, on them they depend
Wee Three, growing and laughing and running about…
Screams and squeals and terrifying thrills…
Yes they are the Wee Three…in highchairs for meals…
This cannot be accomplished by hoping or strong wills…
Mommy and Daddy’s superpower is unfailing Love …
Not temporary or complacent but a gift from above…
Thank you for loving and caring for Wee three…
There is no other place that, Wee three would rather be…
Than in this crazy, happy, joyful, family!!

Dedicated to Abram and Mary the parents of Wee Three!
Psalm 127:3-5 The Message (MSG)
Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift?
the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?
Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows
are the children of a vigorous youth.
Oh, how blessed are you parents,
with your quivers full of children!
Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you;
you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.

The Comforter

Broken in spirit
Cast down and ship-wrecked
With grief that will not cease
Holy Comforter come, give me your blessed peace
Wrapped in holy love, Spirit, Holy dove
Brings upon his wings, billows of heavenly love…
Tears of loss drop upon the altar of sacrifice…
Until all that’s left is emptiness while clinging to, the Christ…
Holy Spirit breathe upon my brokenness
For I am numb and filled with pain I cannot explain…
My heart laments with waves of uncontrollable grief…
Come Holy One and give relief…
A gentle breeze flows from Spirit wind…
And lights upon the heart of him…
Unexplainable peace no one understands…
Floods the soul with mercy in his hands…
Pouring the oil of joy into the hurting child…
Comfort and grace sufficient for every mile…
The broken one, smiles…
He is the helper
He is the healer
He is the transformer
He is the lover
He is the hugs and kisses
He is the comforter
He is…
Holy Spirit…
Come.

John 14:26-29 New Life Version (NLV) The Helper is the Holy Spirit. The Father will send Him in My place. He will teach you everything and help you remember everything I have told you.
Jesus Gives His Followers Peace
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give peace to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. 28 You heard Me say that I am going away. But I am coming back to you. If you love Me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father. The Father is greater than I.
I have told you this before it happens. Then when it does happen, you will believe.
This is dedicated to all the ones who are grieving over the loss of a loved one!

The Reason She Sings

Sing little song bird, let your heart’s, soul, soar
Over fields of lilacs, bring high praise before the Lord…
Sing little song bird, tell us what it means
To know and understand why your soul sings…
I’ve crossed many rivers and flown above the seas…
I’ve fought foe and fiend, tis a few reasons why I sing…
I’ve lost loved ones and been attacked by things unseen…
But all the while, and through every mile, Jesus has been the reason I sing…
He lifts me high above the burdens and gives me peace through every scheme
He’s given me Joy for the mourning, why He is the reason I sing…
I sing when I’m discouraged, yes, I sing because I’m free…
I sing when some are dying, I sing through everything…
I sing when I am tired and I sing when I can’t sing…
Through it all, Jesus gives my life meaning…
I’ll sing in the morning and I’ll sing at noon…
I’ll be singing when it’s time for me, to leave this dark, world’s, room…
Sing with me little children; sing when your heart is drear…
Sing when life seems lifeless; sing through all your tears…
Sing when you are happy and sing when you’re in fear…
For it’s in the singing you will hear…
God’s love sings back, I’m near…

Singing lightens your burdens and opens heaven’s door
Sing, and open up your heart with exuberance, fully restored…
Sing with me little children, sing before the Lord…
Jesus is the reason, I will sing forevermore!
When you hear the little song bird singing you’ll know…Jesus is the reason she sings!

Psalm 104:12 New International Version (NIV) The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.

Friends to Keep Close

God has given us seven friends to help us on our journey through the perils of this life; where darkness prevails but will not win. Jesus, God’s son, went back to His kingdom but he promised he would give us someone to guide us and direct us through the dark world. And so let me introduce you to the best friends you will ever have.
Truth is our first friend; he carries the belt that holds us together so we will not fall into deception and lies. The father of lies is our worst enemy, his name is Satan. Our friend, Truth, will destroy lies every time. He is our go-to friend, when we feel confused. He is one of our closest and dearest friends.
Our second and most valued friend is Righteousness. She will always do the right thing not what she feels is right but what God says is right. Living with Righteousness will bring health and joy to everyone who walks with her. She protects our heart and fills us with the Love of the Father.
The third friend’s name is, Shoes of the Gospel. Shoes of the Gospel, will keep our feet from stumbling over rocky paths, he’ll lead us away from quicksand and keeps us on a firm foundation. Shoes of the Gospel will constantly give us new insights into the Spirit and tells us the words of life to live by and will teach us to help others how to walk.
For our fourth friend His name is Faith. Faith says walk with me and you will never fall down. I’ll take you into realms where only spirit can go. But you must trust and never doubt, don’t look with your eyes of the carnal mind…but see with your spirit-heart and trust me. For what you see, will not be what you expect. You must see beyond the natural. Our friend Faith, carries a shield, that protects our hearts when the enemy attacks us with his darts of fire. And when he throws spears of lies, the shield of Faith, will walk with us through hurt and pain and we will overcome. Faith never falls down. He is steadfast and concrete. Faith will always please the Father. Keep the shield polished and clean and never leave it behind.
Salvation is our fifth friend and gives us a helmet to protect our head. It covers our mind and gives us the mind of Christ. Salvation is a kind and loving friend. He saves us from fear and worry. Salvation will show us the way to go when we feel distressed and lost. Our friend Salvation gives us a brand new way of thinking. He will never let us stray off course and he will be with us forever. Salvation will take us all the way to the Kingdom of God.
Then there is our friend Spirit, he carries a sword. The sword will cut down every lie that tries to come against us. Spirit’s sword is so sharp it will cut through bone and marrow. Spirit gives each of us the same sword so that when the enemy comes at us, the sword of Spirit will annihilate the enemy’s weapons. Spirit will bring us peace in the midst of every battle and conquer every foe. Spirit’s sword is powerful. Keep it with you always. Spirit is Holy.
Our very best friend is The Spirit of Prayer. She is our closest and dearest friend. She will speak to the Father on our behalf and will show us things to come. She will never cease of asking. She will tell you what you need to know and she will always speak the truth in love and never judgment. The Spirit of Prayer is constant and is always with us. She doesn’t get tired. She never sleeps. She is always giving and never abuses or condemns. The Spirit of Prayer is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. She asks, she does not demand. She is humble but has a force that cannot be conquered nor destroyed. She has the ear of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. The Spirit of Prayer is faithful and determined; she will take you into the Holy of holies. God listens to the Spirit of Prayer and will answer her request. Never leave the Spirit of Prayer behind. Keep her with you at all times. She will be your greatest comfort and your greatest friend. Spirit of Prayer keeps all the friends together. She brings Truth, Righteousness, The Gospel, Faith, Salvation and the Spirit with her wherever she goes. When you walk with these friends, you are walking with God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit. You will be one. These friends stick closer than a brother or a sister. You never walk alone.

Ephesians 6:10-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

What Does God Want

What does God want…?
He wants your heart.
We hold on tight to things of this life
Not realizing it takes up all the room
Crammed into each crevice we save
Bitterness, unforgiveness
And a whole lot of strife.
Piled from ceiling to floor
If you wanted to, you couldn’t open the door
Your heart is stuffed and you just can’t take anymore…
Pages and pages of hate and hurt are stored…
Within the place where love was once explored
It’s too overwhelming to think about
Too much clutter, broken promises and unkind words
I’m to numb for even the faintest hope…no one cared, no one heard…
The cries when I needed them too…
Now it’s too late and there’s nothing else to do…
Can’t think about doing what’s right…
Keep the door closed and locked up tight
What does God want…?
I have no clue…
I can’t be bothered by the likes of you…
Just let me live in my hoarder’s nest…
There’s nothing left, there is no rest…
I’ve failed and will never pass the test…
Besides, I tried once; I gave it my best…
The cleaning lady has come to call…
She’s heard your cry and that’s not all…
She’s come to carry out all the trash
Someone prayed for you today…
They’ve been praying all these years
They’ve cried many, many tears
For you to overcome all your fears…
The stacks of bitterness, and unforgivess and strife,
Can all be erased for the rest of your life
If you, will give God, your heart
He’ll send in His Holy Fire
With cleansing power
This very hour
The door will open and He’ll come inside
There will be no more clutter,
The door will open wide…
Standing on the seashore wanting to end it all
A still, small, voice, begins to call…
What does God want…?
He wants your heart…
Tears streaming, this cluttered heart cries out…
Lord, I’ve been blind and afraid
But right now today…I want to give my heart away
Here it is God, I’m yours now and always!
In an instant, the room of his heart, is completely emptied
Where clutter once jammed the darkened place,
Now Love and Joy and Peace
Are found…
A new song, a new sound, is sung by angel’s rejoicing…
My child’s no longer bound.

Romans 10:8-10 New King James Version (NKJV) But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Fight Having Faith in God

The message, I am about to share with you this morning, is for the mature Christian. Don’t tune me out and don’t stop reading. By now you have grown strong in the wisdom and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. You’ve faced some giants in your life and you have overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus.
You have a quickening in your spirit and you sense something of extreme urgency is happening. We are in the battle. It is fierce and unrelenting. There is terror on every front. It’s time to call in the Big Guns, holy artillery…Be filled with the Holy Ghost and Fire! That sentence will not frighten you. You know exactly what I’m talking about. This message is not for the faint of heart, nor, for anyone who is walking the fence. Your faith is in the King of Glory! Jesus, The Lion of Judah is majestic and supreme.
There is a cry being sent out…Pray in the Spirit and with understanding…the tools of the Holy Spirit must be fully engaged and fully functional. Holy discernment, casting out demons, healing the sick and raising the dead, spread the Good News. This is available to us, the sons and daughters of God, in the Name of Jesus.
We are fully clothed in our war-gear and we are ready for the fight. It is a 24-7 mission all are on call. We are alert and watching…
The enemy is not sleeping…he is not playing…he is determined and has set traps for not just our capture but for our death and destruction. We must be at our best. We must not be vulnerable or weak. We build ourselves up praying in the Holy Ghost. He is our guide. He has given us everything we need for this battle. From the time we are conceived we are fighting…We’ve been called from the womb. There are souls unaware of the enemy’s strongholds…but we’ve been given insight and direction by the Holy Spirit.
This morning I was sleeping an evil presence tried to take me out…I tried to cry out but could not even get out a whisper…I tried to cast it off of me in the name of Jesus but he would not let go…I thought I had, had a stroke because I could not get free…finally by the grace of God, I woke up and realized I was alright physically. But the vision or dream was so real it was several minutes before I could function. Bob had come into the room and I told him what happened he knelt down beside the bed and prayed. I got up but still this weird feeling was lingering. I took authority over it in the name of Jesus and said, “You HAVE to GO in the name of Jesus, you cannot stay…and I was released.
I received a text from a sister in the Lord that her son didn’t want to live…we have been praying for him. She said she was going to get him and get him help. I called another sister in the Lord, a strong prayer warrior and we agreed together for His deliverance and for my healing. The presence of God was strong and powerful.
This is why I’m writing this message today. This warfare is real. It is no joke. It is serious. The devil is mad. We had 189 souls give their hearts to Jesus at our Church on Easter Sunday and that was just at our church. I know there were others all over the world. It is no time to walk the fence. It is no time to play church or have a watered down faith…We must be prepared and determined. Yes God is fighting this battle and he has already won…but we are in the thick of it…and we better know who it is we are fighting. It is not about flesh and blood it is a spiritual battle, but it affects the natural realm. Put on the Whole Armor of God and know we are not alone…and that it is IN THE NAME OF JESUS we move and breathe and have our being. We cannot fight the devil in our flesh or on our own…
Our war book is the Bible…
Our war garments are Love, Joy, Praise and Praying in the Holy Spirit…
Our war Song is Amazing Grace
Our war is fought on the battle field of the mind, body and spirit
We are fighting Powers and Principalities of the air and in the heavens…
Use the tools you have been given…The word of God. It will chop off the head of demons and in the name of Jesus they have to run…Do not be afraid. Do not back down, God is in the battle with us we will not be defeated. Amen!!!
Spiritual warfare is serious…it is real and it is constant…
The Bible says, in Ephesians 6:12 New American Bible, (Revised Edition), For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.
When we acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God, and we invite him to live within our hearts, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. He begins to teach us who Jesus is and how to live, and walk and talk God’s way. Our will must yield to His will. His plan is to give us hope and a future with him and not to hurt us.
Soldier, stand ready and fight with all of your might, in the Name of Jesus Christ the anointed one of the Most High God!!
All it takes is faith and surrender!
~Marla Shaw O’Neill April 3, 2018

Thank Goodness

Could you imagine if cows made buttermilk?
And bunny’s laid Easter eggs, of milk chocolate and caramel silk?
What if turtles could fly and horses could talk
They’d probably say, sir you can walk…
What if elephants danced and sloths pranced…
Have you ever thought about that circumstance?
Being under it…
What if rain didn’t fall?
What if trees weren’t tall?
What would we call everything then?
Why, just, think about this
When you reminisce
If God had not created our world
All His beauty, and wonder, we’d have missed…
God, we’re in your hands, thank goodness!
~Marla Shaw O’Neill April 2, 2018
This poem was inspired by a phone conversation I had with my 90-year-old dad this morning. He said when he was four years old he asked his grandmother which of their cows made buttermilk. She answered in her southern drawl, “Lawd, cows don’t make buttermilk!
Genesis 1:31 The Message (MSG) God looked over everything he had made; it was so good, so very good!

The Companions

You do not walk alone,
Companions, Goodness and Mercy are with you
They follow you wherever you go…
The Good Shepherd has ordained it so…
For you are in His family and this is all you need, know
He takes you to fields of green, where there are, still water streams
He will not leave you in the valley of death; he’ll restore your soul
And with each breath…he’ll breathe new life in you…
Fresh anointing with holy oil…poured from His cup unto earth’s soil
Where life and health and peace and joy…will be your sure reward…
Dwelling forever in the House of the Lord…
Dwelling forever in the House of the Lord!
With Goodness, and Mercy, and rest, we’ll adore,
Our Risen, Victorious, Majestic, Lord;
In His House, forevermore!

Psalm 23 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord

Meet Me

Meet me in the coffee shop
Meet me in the diner
Meet me in the work place…
Meet me in the church-yard,
There’s no time to waste…

I’m waiting in the morning
I’m waiting at midday
I’m waiting when you’re sleeping
And I’m waiting when you play
I see the little sparrow as he sings his merry tune
I see the meadow lark and the lambs that bay
I see the statuesque gray loon

I see you in the sunlight
I hear the wolves, howling, at the moon…
Meet me in the garden there is always room
I’ve called you in the midnight
When I heard you crying in the dark
I’ve called you when you were afraid
Listening to the song of the nightingale and the sadness of the lark
I’ve been waiting for the moment when you’d open up your heart…
Do not tarry long, its way past time to start…
Do not hesitate for one more minute
I can’t begin to tell you, what your life will be like,
With me in it

I set aside this special time for you, and me, to dine…
Just over there, by the pond, that is where you’ll find…
Peace and joy and love unspeakable, child I want to make you mine…

What is this longing in my heart that makes me feel this way…?
I hear a gentle calling; I know I mustn’t delay…
Oh Jesus, if I had known it was you…I would have gone yesterday
I hear the gentle call, and yes, I will obey.

Matthew 4:18-20 The Message (MSG) Walking along the beach of Lake Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers: Simon (later called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishing, throwing their nets into the lake. It was their regular work. Jesus said to them, “Come with me.

Take This Cup

Holy Breath, breathe on me…
He cried out and breathed his last breath,
They grieved…
Holy Breath, sweet savor to my soul
Give me grace, and make me bold…
Will you drink the cup, He has offered up?
Will you eat the bread, at his table sup?
Will you hold your breath, as he gives up?
Holy Breath, breathe on me,
As I drink this cup…

Matthew 27:50 The Message (MSG) But Jesus, again crying out loudly, breathed his last.
Matthew 26:39 New Living Translation (NLT) He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”
John 20:22 New International Version (NIV) And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
