Who’s Chasing You

Shame and Guilt hunted me like hound-dogs chasing a rabbit. Like ticks, stuck on a mangy dog, they clung to me like chains on a prison gang…
The fire of Jesus released me from those blood sucking ticks.
God’s Grace delivered me from a lifetime of tricks, of the enemy.
God’s Love, broke the chains and healed my soul, sick, life…
God’s Goodness and Mercy, chased me down…
Turned me around and gave me a brand-new start!
Beelzebub will feed you lies and keep you tied to a life steeped in sin and stubborn pride!
You run, but you can’t hide…
Stop! Face your fear. Don’t keep digging up dead things.
Honey, dead things stink, and don’t accomplish a thing…
Then Shame and Guilt can’t keep you bound.
Forgive and forget, and when you do…
This is what will happen to you,
The fire of Jesus, will release you from all blood, sucking, ticks.
God’s Grace will deliver you from a lifetime of tricks.
God’s Love, breaks those chains and heals your soul, sick, life…
God’s Goodness and Mercy, chases you down…
Turns you around and gives you a brand-new heart!
Go and live your life in such a way that not even the enemy can recognize you.
You are a Masterpiece, made in the image of God!

2 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
