Face to Face

This piece was inspired by my very dear friend Kathy Langley…for the glory of God!

Humbly I bow before you
With earnest heart I plead my case
Holy God, creator of all things I seek your face…
Washed and cleansed by the water of your word…
Your light and your touch engulf me and I’m purged…
My heart set free to sing and dance
It only took a tiny glance…
Darkness no longer surrounds me
In your presence I am heard…
No shadows of doubt
No fear of disgrace
Looking into your eyes I find serenity and grace…
You bid me come closer for a gentle embrace…
My soul, sours, in your presence; I find rest…
I am totally and completely blessed…
I breathe in your essence; and I’m transformed!
Lord,
Nothing in this world satisfies me, like this moment when I pray…
Face to face with you, Yeshua is where I’ll stay…
Wrap me in your arms Lord, as I tarry here day after day…
And as I rise to go about my tasks
This one thing is all I ask…
May I never, ever, stray
And in your presence abide always…
Lifting my head, enthralled in your steady gaze
I see your wisdom and your love, face to face!

Psalm 63 1-8 English Standard Version (ESV)
My Soul Thirsts for You
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
