Now People

This post is written by my Aunt Rose and was given by her permission. She has written beautiful poems and articles over the years and wants to share them with you. It is her heart to share the Lord with everyone, we hope you are blessed.
“Now People”
We need to be “now” people and “today” people. The procrastination or “there’s no hurry” attitude is a trick of Satan and brings hardness of the heart.
We should not only be hearers but doers of the Word. The “doing” part does not mean depending just on self. When we study God’s Word and apply it to our lives, God will lead and direct our paths. We should not lean back and call on God just when we have a need. Let’s not be depressed about things of yesterday nor drown in depressions and self-pity. God says we can possess the land! God is a God of today! Let’s move on and forge ahead with the mighty power of His Spirit.
Don’t expect to do the doing on your own. Let’s do in God’s time so that we may have spiritual results. Sometimes God says “wait” and sometimes He says “now.” When we move in His time, with His anointing, his work gets accomplished. The Holy Spirit leads, guides and directs. We are His vessels. The flesh or the natural man’s thinking is removed. His Spirit works through us when we are willing. “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord!
When we procrastinate or have the “no hurry” attitude, we fool ourselves into thinking that good intentions are enough. We think “someday” when I get this done or when I finish this or that or when I’m financially able or I stop this or that sin or all the other excuses that come to mind; then I will commit myself to the Lord. Will your time run out? We do not know about tomorrow. No. God will not credit you for good intentions as you may think. He said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.” We will never accomplish or carry through God’s anointing with that attitude. That is an attitude of disobedience to God. A “little” obedience is the same as no obedience to God. We cannot serve two Masters. We must love one or hate the other (Satan). Anything that replaces God in your life is the same as idolatry. God was and still is against idol worship. “Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me.” He demands to be first in our lives. Our God is a “Now” God; not to be put off and used as a God of convenience. Letting other things come first is easy since God gives us a will of choice. We decide whom we wish to serve.
We must be “now” people while we are under the anointing. When we step out for God, He anoints, equips and directs. Today is the day of faith! Now is the time of your anointing. Now is the time of salvation and the reaping of the harvest! Do not be concerned of what people will say. Make a stand for God now, while there’s still time. Satan says. “There’s no hurry!” God says, “Now people!” God will take care of you when you make Him your priority now!
You’ve heard the phrase: “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.”
There’s another story about the Graduation School of little demons.
Satan asked three of them, “What are you going to tell the people when you go out there?”
The first little demon says, “I’m going to tell them there’s No God!”
Satan said, “Not good enough. Most Christians and sinners know there’s a God.”
He asked the next one. “What will you tell the people?”
The second little demon says, “I’ll say there’s no Hell!”
Satan says, “Ahhh, that’s good. You’ll get a few, but not enough.”
He asks the third little demon, “What will you say?”
The third demon with an evil grin says, “There’s no hurry!”
Satan laughed and said, “That’s great! You will win many for the kingdom of darkness!!”
Let’s not put off tomorrow what we can be blessed with today! There is life and power in God’s Word.
Be people of purpose…be people of “Now!”

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
