What if…

All I want for Christmas…
World peace?
Good-will to all men?
What if Christmas-peace began in a small town?
Where warmth and love and joy abounds
All wrapped up in a blanket…
A new born babe was found…
Where strangers were met by angels unaware
Bringing joy and good news, their voices declare
Behold the Savior of the world!
He is the reason we celebrate!
Giving, out of love, it’s not too late…
Christmas jingles and lights galore…
Santa and elves we all adore…
But somewhere in a tiny town
A babe was born, which Mary bore…
Shepherds came to see the child,
But not to buy in a department store…
But to share the joy of Christ the Lord!
The son of God waits patiently…
Graciously and humbly
While…
We rush about in holiday stress…
One more toy, party, suit, and dress…
All I want for Christ-mas…
Telling Santa, all of this…
But where, oh, where, is Jesus?
What if…
Christmas was holy, full of peace and joy…
Filling the hearts of every man, woman, girl, and boy?

Luke 2:8-14 New King James Version (NKJV) Glory in the Highest
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
