Eighty-six Cents

Eight-six cents isn’t that much unless you’re trying to buy something and you come up short.

Eight-six cents was all I needed.

But I didn’t have my purse, no phone and I felt quite defeated.

Then a young boy came to my rescue.

He said, “Excuse me ma’am here’s a dollar for you.”

Eight-six cents isn’t much until~

But thank the Lord for little boys like you, who knew just what to do.

Unexpected miracles come to us each day.

We don’t always recognize them though, because they’re given in unimaginable ways.

A smile, a gentle touch, doesn’t seem like much.

But when you’re alone and long for that smile or a familiar touch.

That tiny miracle offered gives you such peace and you realize,

That’s no ordinary thing…

Are you short eight-six cents?

What would you do, if someone next to you, was in need?

Open your eyes, and see, you’re the miracle others, too, may need.
