Broken But Not Forsaken

Broken, shattered, we move through life in a misty fog
Praying, “Where are you God?”
In our minds we feel alone, afraid and disconnected from the human race…
He has not left us; his arms are around us, filling us with his love and grace…
We can’t feel him, we can’t feel anything only a numbness, like the walking dead
We go through the motions of living but we are not alive.
Not emotionally, mentally or physically…
People looking at us can’t tell
We may wear a smile, go to work, do the every day things that look like living
But we have shut down on the inside…
In the night hours when others are sleeping, we lie awake in the dark weeping…
Hear me broken one, you are not alone
I’ve come to comfort you and bring you home.
Lift up your head, you are not dead…yes, pain is real, but I’ve come to heal
Your broken, down-cast spirit.
Open your heart, open your eyes, open your ears
Can’t you hear it…
Sorrow is for the night but joy comes in the morning!
It’s morning Child…put on the garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness
My love is measureless and I am pouring my Spirit into your life…
Come alive!!
And when you are restored do what I’ve chosen and called you to do!
You will be like the balm of Gilead
Restoring others to life in me!

ISAIAH 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
