The Beginning

Void of light
Darkness blinds; no sight
Unknown deep
An abyss of endless time
Lost but not knowing
Until a word is spoken…
Instantly the black whole is broken
Like a new breath, breathed in
The lungs are filled and light begins…
Exhaling…
God said… “Let there be…”

The History of Creation
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
