The Rose

There is a rose in my garden, whose tender petals bloom
The fragrance permeates the air, with a sweet, distinct, perfume
She was born from love and sent as a ray of sunshine…
Her gentle flower springing up with grace as a cooing dove…
Placed in my garden, a rainbow from above…
Her life filled with adventure she’s learning as she grows
Her beauty far exceeds all others, to look at her you know…
Something is abundantly special, about this lovely precious rose,
It’s written in the stars, she’s a winner in her eyes it shows…
She’s chosen from the garden for an extraordinary task
Her life’s journey will be a legacy that lasts…
Her stem is strong from inheritance, the thorns protecting the bloom
God in his mercy has prepared her, to reach far beyond the moon…
For everyone who looks upon this wonder they will see…
That God is looking back and them through this majestic, beauty.
A scented, loving, caring one…who’s been tended by the gardener himself…
This rose is not just grown to be set upon a shelf…
Her essence will be carried throughout the world to see…
That the rose from my garden is a warrior filled with victory…
Heart bold, spirit courageous, Hope is her legacy…
Born with a purpose…picked by the hand of God
A rose of grace and mercy, her armor faithful and truth…
This rose is not just a rose…no other name will do…
Esperanza, God is with you!

Song of Solomon 2:1-2 King James Version (KJV) I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
Dedicated to my granddaughter Esperanza for her 16th birthday!

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
