Never Too Old

Never Too Old
Never too old to learn new tricks.
Never too old to pick up sticks.
Never too old is what they said.
Never too old to get out of bed.
Never too old to sing a tune or walk a mile or talk awhile.
Never too old to spread good-cheer, or give a hug or shed a tear…
Never too old that’s what they say.
Gravity works, it worked today…
Aches and pains I never knew.
Arrive each day another one, make that two!
Never too old…Oh don’t believe that…
If you’re young and agile stay where you’re at…
Reality check, young-uns this is for you…
Don’t laugh at me, I thought so too…
I’ll never be, as old as, Sue…
Time goes quickly, flies, to tell the truth…
Enjoy your life, enjoy your youth…
Never too old…well let me just say,
I may be old, but my spirit’s brand new!!!
I shuffle my feet, grunt to stand up,
Hair’s worn thin, got a double chin…
Extra pounds that shake and jiggle…
when I look at me, I just want to giggle.
Hair all gray, wrinkles need ironing, teeth are OK,
Thank God in heaven I can still pray…
What’s that, I can’t hear you, my hearing aid’s humming.
Never too old, you must be joking…can’t remember a thing
As I enter a room, am I coming or am I going…
Don’t be fooled by the aging game…
A hundred years, will be the same
Never too old, to give a hoot…but one good thing,
Won’t matter where you toot!
A sense of humor will carry you through.
Young or old God’s always with you!
