Mama, why does life have to be so hard?<\/h6>\n
Why do people have to be so cruel?<\/h6>\n
Why is that when it rains it pours?<\/h6>\n
There\u2019s trouble and hardship.<\/h6>\n
Heartaches and bad brakes\u2026<\/h6>\n
Why Mama? Why\u2019s life so hard?<\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
Sweet child of mine I\u2019ve been right where you are.<\/h6>\n
I\u2019ve watched many a sunrise and sunset,<\/h6>\n
I\u2019ve had my share of break ups and break downs.<\/h6>\n
I\u2019ve gone all the way around,<\/h6>\n
Mountains and valleys, rivers and long dark paths<\/h6>\n
Why\u2019s life got to be so hard? I too would ask\u2026<\/h6>\n
One thing I\u2019ve learned though.<\/h6>\n
This too shall pass\u2026<\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
When the darkness falls, and it looks like you can\u2019t get up.<\/h6>\n
When you are drinking from an empty cup<\/h6>\n
When all you can do is cry,\u00a0when\u00a0will it end? How long will it last?<\/em><\/h6>\n
Remember, child,<\/h6>\n
This too shall pass\u2026<\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
Faith is not on the other side.<\/h6>\n
Now Faith is, whether we live or die.<\/h6>\n
Don\u2019t live in the past\u2026<\/h6>\n
You can\u2019t go back\u2026<\/h6>\n
Don\u2019t live in the future\u2026<\/h6>\n
It never arrives\u2026<\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
Live in the right now, take all your fears and let Jesus cast\u2026<\/h6>\n
All your woes into the sea of forgetfulness\u2026<\/h6>\n
Because darlin\u2019<\/h6>\n
This too shall pass!<\/h6>\n

My mama lived eighty-three years in this world. I\u2019d be going through something, and I\u2019d tell her about it and she\u2019d always say, \u201cThis too shall pass.\u201d I\u2019d get so aggravated when she\u2019d say that, but I\u2019ve come to understand exactly what she meant. Now I treasure her words and one of these days I know I\u2019ll be seeing her again\u2026some things in fact many things we just don\u2019t have any control over. But in my lifetime, I see clearly that the many things I was fearful and concerned about did in fact pass.<\/h6>\n
She\u2019d also say, \u201cDon\u2019t sweat the small stuff!\u201d Life is too short to wallow in self-pity or try to fix everyone else. Jesus said, cast all your care upon him, because he cares for you! That\u2019s where we will find our greatest peace\u2026when life gets hard, and you feel like giving up\u2026Go to Jesus first and these things shall pass! Maybe not always in the way we think but when he does it, it is so much better. Life is hard, but God is good!<\/h6>\n
