Hanging next to a man on the cross they called, \u201cKing of the Jews.\u201d<\/h6>\n
On the other side is one just like me, a thief, a liar, what life did we choose?<\/h6>\n
I was a lad in Jerusalem, poor, and alone, running the streets\u2026a beggar, I would not be\u2026<\/h6>\n
I chose to be a thief\u2026<\/h6>\n
A loaf of bread was my first crime, chased by soldiers I hid and over time, I stole to stay alive\u2026<\/h6>\n
Once upon a mountain-top, I stopped to hear this man\u2026the things he said pierced through me, they were things I\u2019d never heard\u2026I paused and for an instant I almost believed his words.<\/h6>\n
\u201cI Am the bread of life; come and follow me. I\u2019ll give you eternal life, I will set you free.\u201d<\/h6>\n
For a moment, I stopped and thought what it would mean to be set free.<\/h6>\n
No more stealing. No more endless nights of running and worry of being caught.<\/h6>\n
No more hanging out with low-life; we were thieves, robbers, deceitful men of prey.<\/h6>\n
Now, here I am at my final destination to die upon a tree. I\u2019m thirsty. I\u2019m afraid. And the thief beside me, rails upon this one they call, King of the Jews.<\/h6>\n
\u201cQuiet,\u201d I scream. \u201cDo you not fear God? This man has done nothing wrong to be crucified like this.\u201d<\/h6>\n
Straining, I turn my head so that I can see, the holy man hanging next to me\u2026<\/h6>\n
Weeping, my voice cracks as I struggle to speak\u2026<\/h6>\n
\u201cRemember\u2026 me\u2026 when you come into your Kingdom!\u201d<\/h6>\n
With a voice kinder than I\u2019d ever known, he spoke these words to me, \u201cThis day you will be with me in Paradise.\u201d<\/h6>\n
As he speaks, I recognize his voice, he\u2019s the man from the mountain-top who could grant eternal life\u2026<\/h6>\n
And with His great sacrifice\u2026I realize he is Yeshua, King of the Jews!<\/h6>\n
I lived an ungodly life I can never change what I did\u2026but with just one statement, with no ill intent\u2026I am granted pardon into Paradise\u2026<\/h6>\n
Don\u2019t choose a life of lawlessness, there\u2019s always a better choice\u2026<\/h6>\n
Listen to the man on the mountain-top open your heart and hear his voice\u2026<\/h6>\n
\u201cCome, follow me, I Am the way to Eternity.\u201d<\/h6>\n
