In days of hot or cold; or starlit, or cloudy night,<\/h6>\n
Creatures roam the shepherd\u2019s-field in hopes for some delight.<\/h6>\n
Wolves and bear and lions oh my\u2026<\/h6>\n
Waiting in silence so they could try<\/h6>\n
To kill the lamb before it cries.<\/h6>\n
One little lamb is all it will take<\/h6>\n
To exploit it, and kill it. There to make souls forsake, the little lamb.<\/h6>\n
Lurking in the darkness, evil creeps waiting for their prey\u2026<\/h6>\n
The innocent lamb to be swept away, from the shepherd\u2019s-field.<\/h6>\n
But what a fright when they realize, the Shepherd is watching,<\/h6>\n
Now they must yield!<\/h6>\n
A whirl-wind, rose, on the shepherd\u2019s-field that night<\/h6>\n
The stars rolled back, as a host from heaven filled the sky<\/h6>\n
Never had this occurred before. Let me tell you why\u2026<\/h6>\n
The shepherd is prepared for any foe. Now confounded he bows low\u2026<\/h6>\n
No sling, nor rod, nor staff, nor will, could stop the sight<\/h6>\n
Of this magnificent, unknown light\u2026<\/h6>\n
The shepherd\u2019s in the field shook with a mighty fright<\/h6>\n
How could they protect their sheep? This is a holy plight\u2026<\/h6>\n
Robed beings in glowing-white, broke out in song and sang<\/h6>\n
\u201cGlory to God in the Highest! Peace and goodwill to all men!\u201d<\/h6>\n
Do not be afraid lowly shepherd\u2019s for on this night in the city of David<\/em><\/h6>\n
A babe has been born\u2026<\/em><\/h6>\n
You will find him wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger, there his mama and papa abide also\u2026<\/em><\/h6>\n
He is Christ, the Lord!<\/em><\/h6>\n
So, on the shepherd\u2019s-field that night\u2026lowly shepherds took their flight<\/h6>\n
And came to a place where the animals, gaze, upon the Son of God!<\/h6>\n
If you happen to wander onto the shepherd\u2019s-field\u2026<\/h6>\n
Remember this year and do not be afraid; do not fear<\/h6>\n
For Christ, the King, is here!<\/h6>\n
It\u2019s in the shepherd\u2019s-field where the angels came to give the good news and there proclaim\u2026<\/h6>\n
The lamb will not be killed this night\u2026<\/h6>\n
The lamb will live for a designated site\u2026<\/h6>\n
The wolf will hunt him and try to take to his life\u2026<\/h6>\n
But rejoice, for no one can pluck him from his father\u2019s loving hand\u2026<\/h6>\n
The lamb willingly lay down his life for all man kind<\/h6>\n
To take it up again\u2026<\/h6>\n
That\u2019s not the end\u2026<\/h6>\n
The shepherd\u2019s-field will again be bright\u2026<\/h6>\n
Where all who believe on this holy night<\/h6>\n
Will sing, Rejoice, rejoice Emanuel\u2026God is with us!<\/h6>\n
The shepherd\u2019s-field, is where lowly shepherds keep watch, until\u2026<\/h6>\n
The Good, Shepherd, appears\u2026<\/h6>\n
And the sheep are gathered safely to Heaven\u2019s Shepherd\u2019s-field!<\/h6>\n
