The shepherd watched as his sheep grazed in an open field<\/h6>\n
Unaware of their purpose, they ran and jumped and played<\/h6>\n
Little lambs, perfect in every way\u2026<\/h6>\n
No fear of predator or foe\u2026they did not know<\/h6>\n
That soon they\u2019d be taken away\u2026<\/h6>\n
Away from their mother where they nuzzled and supped<\/h6>\n
Away from the shepherd who would pick them up,<\/h6>\n
Stroke their head and carry them awhile\u2026<\/h6>\n
Over rocky places for many a mile\u2026<\/h6>\n
Lead them to still waters and green pastures to graze\u2026<\/h6>\n
The little lambs would be taken today\u2026<\/h6>\n
Baa<\/em>, baa<\/em>, said the little lamb<\/h6>\n
Frightened he shook, he didn\u2019t understand\u2026<\/h6>\n
Where is my mommy? Where is the shepherd?<\/h6>\n
Why am I here with this strange-looking man?<\/h6>\n
The priest took the lamb and held him tenderly<\/h6>\n
Laid him on the altar for God to see\u2026<\/h6>\n
No spot, no wrinkle, no blemishes were found<\/h6>\n
Accepted as perfect; baa<\/em>, baa<\/em>, was the only sound<\/h6>\n
Feet bound, he killed the lamb<\/h6>\n
Another lamb was sacrificed, in Jerusalem, today<\/h6>\n
Jesus the Lamb of God, perfect in every way\u2026<\/h6>\n
Baa<\/em>, baa<\/em>, said the lamb\u2026<\/h6>\n
Blood spilled, from the great I AM\u2026<\/h6>\n
