Dear God,<\/h6>\n
I know you have lots of things to do<\/h6>\n
You must be very busy this time of year<\/h6>\n
I heard, though, that you are never too busy<\/h6>\n
To hear each-and-every prayer<\/h6>\n
Even though I\u2019m way down here<\/h6>\n
And you are way up there\u2026<\/h6>\n
God, I need to ask you a favor<\/h6>\n
You see, mommy and daddy used to be<\/h6>\n
Kind and loving and happy<\/h6>\n
They used to pray and laugh and sing<\/h6>\n
But lately\u2026they only bring\u2026<\/h6>\n
Tears and hard words they sling\u2026<\/h6>\n
Not knowing I hear them late at night<\/h6>\n
God, I don\u2019t think everything is alright\u2026<\/h6>\n
I\u2019m only a little kid\u2026was it something I did<\/h6>\n
To make them so unhappy instead<\/h6>\n
Of holding hands and bowing heads<\/h6>\n
A thankful heart at breakfast said\u2026<\/h6>\n
Give us this day our daily bread<\/em>\u2026<\/h6>\n
What happened God<\/h6>\n
To many tears I shed<\/h6>\n
When no one sees me, and I lie frightened in my bed\u2026<\/h6>\n
God, can you send help in my time of need<\/h6>\n
Giving love, planting seeds\u2026<\/h6>\n
Of forgiveness, instead of greed<\/h6>\n
Some write letters to Santa, for toys and games<\/h6>\n
But if it\u2019s all the same<\/h6>\n
I\u2019m writing to you God<\/h6>\n
Heal mommy and daddy\u2019s heart<\/h6>\n
Give them a do-over; with a brand new start\u2026<\/h6>\n
Make them stop yelling,<\/h6>\n
So there\u2019s no more hurt and no more blame\u2026<\/h6>\n
This is all I ask God\u2026in Jesus name\u2026<\/h6>\n
