Skilled hands now old, and wet, and caked<\/h6>\n
Molds the treasure she will make<\/h6>\n
Upon her potter\u2019s wheel…<\/h6>\n
She spins and spins and as she does<\/h6>\n
She thinks, as she whispers a prayer<\/h6>\n
Lord, says she<\/em>, I am molding this clay just for thee<\/em><\/h6>\n
Daughter<\/em>, says He, I am molding you,\u00a0just for me<\/em><\/h6>\n
And in His hands the clay spins and spins, upon the potter’s wheel<\/h6>\n
Lord, Why does it hurt so much? Asks she.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Daughter<\/em>, says He,<\/em> tis lessons to learn with twist and turns<\/em><\/h6>\n
On the Potter\u2019s wheel that brings humility and obedience you see<\/em><\/h6>\n
The song of the clay is often learned through enduring much spinning and pain<\/em><\/h6>\n
My grace I give, as you surrender to me, your heart, to do my will<\/em><\/h6>\n
Yielded and broken so all can see what beauty this process will bring<\/em><\/h6>\n
Courage and strength, joy and delight, as you struggle under the Potter\u2019s hands<\/em><\/h6>\n
From dust you were made, and dust you return, but your spirit still remains<\/em><\/h6>\n
I was formed in the womb, of water and clay, what a mystery to behold<\/h6>\n
For it\u2019s in the hands of a Holy God<\/h6>\n
That He forms the clay this way<\/h6>\n
Round and round the wheel we spin \u2018til the Potter perfects His design<\/h6>\n
Put in the fire to complete the task what beauty comes in the end<\/h6>\n
Sing, little one. Sing!<\/em><\/h6>\n
Let your spirit soar and reign<\/em><\/h6>\n
While spinning on the potter\u2019s wheel there\u2019s changes you will gain<\/em><\/h6>\n
Formed by the Potter\u2019s touch, there will be joy and pain<\/em><\/h6>\n
Purified by fire, this treasure will remain<\/em><\/h6>\n
The clay once rough and battered not fit for anything<\/h6>\n
A song of victorious melody, heard, when the clay-pot sings\u2026<\/h6>\n
Sorrow is for the night\u2026but in the morning it will bring<\/em><\/h6>\n
A heart full of joy, instead of suffering!<\/em><\/h6>\n
