A\u00a0number of years ago I was feeling hurt and lonely. I knelt before the Lord and cried and prayed with deep unspeakable sounds. Emotional pain so deep I could hardly breathe.<\/h6>\n
\u201cLord who am I? What am I here for? Who even knows my name?\u201d I poured out my heart to the Lord and I heard Him say, \u201cMarla, I am giving you a new name.\u201d I was stunned and surprised and thrilled all at the same time; that the God of heaven would speak to me. But that is what He longs to do. He called me Seritzah<\/em> and told me it meant treasure<\/em>. I was amazed. So, I got up and went to Google to look it up. I didn\u2019t find any name like it, so I knew it had to have come from the Holy Spirit. I wrote it down and kept it.<\/h6>\n
Today I was reminded about it and wrote this poem. The scriptures say, He will give us a new name in heaven. Lots of times God changed people\u2019s names even while still on earth. There was Abraham and Sarah. He changed Jacob to Israel. There is Peter and many more\u2026so why not Marla, to Seritzah\u2026?<\/h6>\n
It doesn\u2019t matter if you believe or not\u2026I believe, because God has called us His treasure. Seritzah, is His special name for me. I\u2019m thankful that the Holy Spirit speaks to me and confirms to me, it is Him speaking to me, over and over again.<\/h6>\n
It\u2019s happened to many times to be a coincident which I don\u2019t believe in. There is a reason for everything and when we are truly His treasure\u2026we know his voice when he speaks. Amen.<\/h6>\n

A new name I give to you<\/h6>\n
Because you\u2019ve been a pleasure<\/h6>\n
Devoted and faithful, I will call you<\/h6>\n
Seritzah, my treasure<\/h6>\n
A name known only to me, and the angels,<\/h6>\n
In the heavenly courts of the King<\/h6>\n
You are a rare and lovely treasure\u2026<\/h6>\n
A gem that cannot be measured\u2026<\/h6>\n
More precious than anything<\/h6>\n
<\/h6>\n
If known to earth-beings\u2026they\u2019d sell<\/h6>\n
All they have for just one glimpse<\/h6>\n
Of this pure and undefiled gemstone<\/h6>\n
More brilliant than a diamond\u2026<\/h6>\n
More costly than gold\u2026<\/h6>\n
More precious than a cultured pearl<\/h6>\n
Is this gem alone\u2026<\/h6>\n

Your heart once full of sin and strife<\/h6>\n
Broken, beaten, you cried out for new life\u2026<\/h6>\n
New life came in and changed everything\u2026<\/h6>\n
Your heart of stone was transformed and became<\/h6>\n
A living sacrifice<\/h6>\n
Humble, contrite, pliable in my hands, yielding to love\u2019s true selfless demands\u2026<\/h6>\n
You were a treasure found among debris<\/h6>\n
Putrid, morbid, lost humanity\u2026if not for my grace you\u2019d be<\/h6>\n
Lost in a darkened, forgotten sea\u2026<\/h6>\n
Turbulent funnels\u2026<\/h6>\n
Waves higher than mountains forging through unknown tunnels\u2026<\/h6>\n
More powerful than a hurricane<\/h6>\n
Horrors no one should ever see\u2026<\/h6>\n
But my grace, rescued thee\u2026<\/h6>\n
