Genesis 2:7 King James Version (KJV) <\/em><\/strong>And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Luke 19:1-10<\/em> New Living Translation (NLT) Jesus and Zacchaeus<\/em><\/strong><\/h6>\n
Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through the town.<\/em> There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich. He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way.<\/em><\/h6>\n
When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. <\/em>\u201cZacchaeus!\u201d<\/em> he said. <\/em>\u201cQuick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy.<\/em> But the people were displeased. \u201cHe has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner,\u201d they grumbled.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, \u201cI will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
Jesus responded, <\/em>\u201cSalvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham.<\/em> For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
