Tied to the earth by the sweat of the brow<\/h6>\n
Ruled by the dirt by the ox and the plow<\/h6>\n
Cursed and fallen<\/h6>\n
We work the ground<\/h6>\n
Remembering a time of Paradise<\/h6>\n
Beast, man and woman paid a terrible price<\/h6>\n
Thorns and thistles, rock and clay<\/h6>\n
Sunup to sundown we make our way<\/h6>\n
The slithering beast, subtle in his way<\/h6>\n
His part was easy; tempting the woman to disobey<\/h6>\n
No one to blame but ourselves we pay~<\/h6>\n
Chained and shackled; no other way<\/h6>\n
But wait~<\/h6>\n
What did YHWH say?<\/h6>\n
One of woman\u2019s descendants will crush the enemy’s head~<\/h6>\n
God had a plan, God made a way~<\/h6>\n
Earthbound we work, we toil and we slave<\/h6>\n
Waiting for\u00a0many millennia to pass away\u2026<\/h6>\n
Walking in shadow<\/h6>\n
Until that day!<\/h6>\n
The serpent still whispers, ‘Surely God did not say.’<\/h6>\n
