The baby was born in a lowly state<\/h6>\n
To a beggar who begged by the city gate\u2026<\/h6>\n
Too much for her to take<\/h6>\n
She abandoned the child and left him in a gutter.<\/h6>\n
The clan of the out-casts, at least had a clue<\/h6>\n
They took the babe and raised him to loot<\/h6>\n
Now he was on his own\u2026<\/h6>\n
Dirty hands and dirty feet, torn ragged clothes<\/h6>\n
He was a thief\u2026<\/h6>\n
Life had not been fair\u2026<\/h6>\n
Caught and now hanging on a criminal\u2019s tree<\/h6>\n
No way now, he would never be free\u2026<\/h6>\n
His fate was set as he hung beside two others\u2026<\/h6>\n
This is how his life would end\u2026<\/h6>\n
He was lost, now paying for his sin\u2026<\/h6>\n
He lashed out with bitterness and hatred\u00a0at the men\u2026<\/h6>\n
The man in the middle spoke not a word<\/h6>\n
But the man on his left shouted and squirmed\u2026<\/h6>\n
\u201cIf you be this king of the Jews then save yourself and us too\u2026\u201d<\/h6>\n
So he shouted back, \u201cYou shut your mouth, don\u2019t you fear God?<\/h6>\n
He\u2019s done nothing to deserve this kind of death\u2026but you and I deserve what we get\u2026\u201d<\/h6>\n
Then he called on Jesus name\u2026<\/h6>\n
Jesus<\/em>, he said, remember me when you come into your kingdom.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Jesus <\/em>answered him and said, In all honesty, I tell you, today, you will be with me in paradise.<\/em><\/h6>\n
He was a thief but he recognized Messiah\u2026<\/h6>\n
Seeing his life pass before him that day, no mother to cry, no father to protest, this was the thief\u2019s final request\u2026<\/h6>\n
He would no longer run in the streets, stealing just to survive\u2026<\/h6>\n
His life would not be in vain\u2026<\/h6>\n
\u201cYou think you can steal paradise by asking Him to give you life?\u201d\u2026the man on his left shouted and cried\u2026 “Oh wouldn\u2019t that be nice!\u201d He lied.<\/h6>\n
The humbled man calmly replied\u2026you can\u2019t steal what has no price\u2026<\/h6>\n
He called on Jesus and his heart was changed\u2026<\/h6>\n
Paradise would be his final domain\u2026<\/h6>\n
All because Jesus came!<\/h6>\n
No longer a thief he\u2019s been redeemed.<\/h6>\n

Luke 23:35-43 New International Version (NIV)<\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n
The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, \u201cHe saved others; let him save himself if he is God\u2019s Messiah, the Chosen One.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar 37\u00a0<\/sup>and said, \u201cIf you are the king of the Jews, save yourself.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
There was a written notice above him, which read: this is the king of the Jews.<\/em><\/h6>\n
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: \u201cAren\u2019t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
But the other criminal rebuked him. \u201cDon\u2019t you fear God,\u201d he said, \u201csince you are under the same sentence? 41\u00a0<\/sup>We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
Then he said, \u201cJesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.\u201d<\/em><\/h6>\n
