Something occurred to me today\u2026I\u2019ve been going to a Bible Study at our Church. We are doing the study with Priscilla Shirer on \u2018Discerning the Voice of God<\/em>.\u2019 We are on our second week and it is talking about the Holy Spirit. It is a wonderful study I\u2019m enjoying it tremendously.<\/h6>\n
Today as I was reading my lesson I had this thought\u2026<\/h6>\n
We don\u2019t have to pop in and pop out of God\u2019s presence.<\/h6>\n
Jesus said He was going away so he could send another comforter to us and that he would live inside us. Now I\u2019ve been a Christian for a very long time\u2026in the last five years I\u2019ve lived a life I believe is pleasing to the Lord.<\/h6>\n
At about six years of age, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and the journey began. At that point the Holy Spirit came to live inside of me. It was Him that revealed Jesus to me. It was Him that taught me to honor my mother and my father. It was Him that drew me away from sin, things that would keep me from becoming closer to the Lord. He\u2019s been my teacher, my comforter and my friend. At twelve years of age I asked the Holy Spirit for my prayer language and without going into the entire experience let me just say he filled me with an amazing gift. He told me to seek the giver of the gift and not the gift\u2026Jesus is the giver of the gift. Made sense to me and boy was He right!! Three and a half hours later and He was still speaking through me and all through the night. But that\u2019s another story\u2026for another time\u2026<\/h6>\n
At times I didn\u2019t walk as close to the Lord as I should have, we all fall down, but that is part of the growing process. I\u2019m just thankful for God\u2019s mercy and grace. He never gives up on us. Amen? And He never left me!<\/h6>\n
I don\u2019t know about you but for me I go to the Lord and think that I have to do certain things that will get me into the Lord\u2019s presence\u2026By all means we should be clean, and humble and worship with a pure heart\u2026that\u2019s how we should live but sometimes we get dirty and have to take a bath in the living waters of his word\u2026of course\u2026<\/h6>\n
So here\u2019s my thought\u2026The Holy Spirit lives, dwells, stays in our heart at all times\u2026we are never disconnected from Him\u2026it\u2019s like our brain, heart, lungs or kidney\u2019s etc., they are a part of us and if we remove them we will die\u2026we can\u2019t live without them. They are pretty important to our survival\u2026right? Right.<\/h6>\n
The Holy Spirit is part of our spirit\u2019s survival\u2026without Him we would not be born of God\u2019s kingdom. We would be spiritually dead.<\/h6>\n
So because He is living inside of us\u2026we don\u2019t have to go someplace to talk to God\u2026I\u2019m not talking about staying out of Church that\u2019s not where I\u2019m going with this\u2026I\u2019m talking about how God\u2019s Spirit lives inside of us. No matter where we go\u2026or what we do\u2026if we are awake or sleeping He is always in us\u2026we have access to Him at any time 24\/7. All we have to do is talk to Him\u2026and He will help us grow and know Jesus more and more and more\u2026Isn\u2019t that wonderful\u2026amazing\u2026it blows my mind\u2026<\/h6>\n
I just took it for granted that He was living in my heart; that\u2019s what we all say when we lead someone to the Lord. \u201cAsk Jesus to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life.\u201d But today it hit me like never before, that, He is, living inside of me\u2026the Spirit of the Living God took up residence in my heart the minute I accepted Jesus by faith as my Lord and Savior\u2026Oh I hope you are seeing what I\u2019m seeing\u2026because this brings me such Joy and confidence and a realization that the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is living<\/strong> right inside of me\u2026<\/h6>\n
Oh I knew it\u2026I\u2019ve heard it\u2026I believe it\u2026but I didn\u2019t understand it until He showed me when I listened to Priscilla talk about the Holy Spirit yesterday\u2026<\/h6>\n
This gives us freedom from religious teaching\u2026and religious, mindset, of how we are to get into the presence of God\u2026<\/h6>\n
We do what everyone else does\u2026fold our hands and bow our head\u2026we get in our Holy stance\u2026and say all the right Holy words\u2026we even cry, real tears, and hope God hears us\u2026<\/h6>\n
We are free from all that\u2026I\u2019m not saying there\u2019s anything wrong with all of that\u2026but we don\u2019t have to work God up\u2026God is ever present\u2026He always hears and watches\u2026He wants us to talk to Him\u2026to come to Him and love Him\u2026<\/h6>\n
We are the ones that put all the trimmings on how we think we are supposed to be with Him\u2026He made it so simple\u2026<\/h6>\n
We are never out His presence\u2026because He is always in us\u2026<\/h6>\n
Even though our minds don\u2019t recognize that he\u2019s with us all the time\u2026He is\u2026<\/h6>\n
We can\u2019t unplug from Him and I would never want to\u2026<\/h6>\n
Think about this\u2026He is not waiting on the outside world for us to find Him\u2026<\/h6>\n
God sent Jesus to the world and Jesus died and rose again and He sent the Holy Spirit of promise to come and live right inside of us\u2026always\u2026.He is always here, inside\u2026all we have to do is acknowledge Him\u2026<\/h6>\n
He knows where He is\u2026and He is tugging on our heart-strings saying, Hey, I\u2019m right here\u2026just ask me anything and I will tell you the truth and show you who Jesus is\u2026I will help you anytime\u2026anywhere\u2026breathe in, exhale, that\u2019s how close I am\u2026<\/em><\/h6>\n
