{"id":1133,"date":"2017-06-18T18:10:07","date_gmt":"2017-06-18T23:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/becourageousbebold.com\/?p=1133"},"modified":"2017-06-18T18:13:18","modified_gmt":"2017-06-18T23:13:18","slug":"one-more-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/becourageousbebold.com\/index.php\/2017\/06\/18\/one-more-day\/","title":{"rendered":"One More Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1134\" src=\"https:\/\/becourageousbebold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/SoldierPraying.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/becourageousbebold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/SoldierPraying.png 288w, https:\/\/becourageousbebold.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/SoldierPraying-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 288px) 100vw, 288px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<h6>Alone, no one sees the General, the man,<\/h6>\n<h6>Fighting his demons\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>On one sees the burdens and stress upon his shoulders<\/h6>\n<h6>Carrying the weight of the responsibility<\/h6>\n<h6>Of his fellow soldiers<\/h6>\n<h6>See those medals on his chest\u2026?<\/h6>\n<h6>They weren\u2019t given for cowering down when the battle was at its worst<\/h6>\n<h6>They weren\u2019t even thought about\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>It was only after the fiercest battle was over and won<\/h6>\n<h6>That the parade was given and the praises sung\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>Soldiers don\u2019t have the luxury of saying, \u201cHold on I\u2019m not ready.\u201d<\/h6>\n<h6>They are alert, watching, one is always on guard\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>They\u2019ve trained and ran miles and dug their heels in and moved through the trenches<\/h6>\n<h6>To be ready and able to fight at all cost, when called to the front. It is then they fight, without restraint, or thought of bodily harm for themselves\u2026adrenaline flowing, heart pounding, sweat pouring, determined to fight the enemy to the death\u2026every ounce of energy spent, determined to live, but even if they die\u2026to do their best, giving their all.<\/h6>\n<h6>Bloody from the fight\u2026they must not show weakness, no letting up; fighting with everything they\u2019ve got\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>Strategic\u2026with purpose\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>For their job is to show up and give all for God and country. It\u2019s not just another day at the office\u2026.No; their job is to give without question while taking orders always at the ready. Disciplined at most in the heat of battle, to endure to persevere, this is what they\u2019ve trained for, live for, and if it comes down to it, they die for. Their job is to fight and never give up. It is to fight for life, keeping families and friends safe from harm. It is seeing to it that the enemy gains no ground and that he is totally and completely driven back and destroyed.<\/h6>\n<h6>And when the battle is over and they\u2019ve survived, and they come home, it\u2019s in the down times\u2026the alone times\u2026when leave has been granted, and then they have a little reprieve\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>That\u2019s when the heart of the man is revealed and he takes his time to grieve\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>The loss of his fellow brothers, and sisters those who have fallen\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>Those who paid with their blood and their lives\u2026<\/h6>\n<h6>Then he bows his head to pray, <em>\u201cDear God, give me one more day. Let me have one more round, above ground, and let me be found\u2026worthy to live and fight and give\u2026one more day\u2026let me stay the course to be an example of what it is to be a soldier in your army\u2026with honor and integrity and strength of heart and mind and body\u2026never let me bow my head in defeat\u2026never let me become weak\u2026if I have one ounce of breath left in me let it be given, in love for you, to fight the enemy and know that we win\u2026because I fight in the right, with you by my side\u2026 and never let me give up, or give in, to the enemy\u2026no matter what! Amen!<\/em><\/h6>\n<h6>What kind of soldier are you? Are you ready? Are you prepared to give everything? Are you alone, praying? \u201cLord, give me one more day; help me go one more round.\u201d<\/h6>\n<h6>Fight your demons and overcome\u2026you are not in the battle alone\u2026God is with you!
