I\u2019d like to ask you a question\u2026as humbly as I possibly can. Some will have no problem with this question; some probably haven\u2019t even thought about it. Some may not practice this because they may think; they don\u2019t need to, because they get all they need from Church. Some may think, they don\u2019t understand it anyway, so, why should they\u00a0read it? And some of you may think, you don\u2019t have time\u2026it\u2019s out of date\u2026it\u2019s King James no one talks like that anymore\u2026.But\u2026<\/h6>\n
How are you going to know what God says, if you don\u2019t read His Words?<\/h6>\n
My husband Bob, has been getting up every morning at breakfast, he opens his Bible starting with Genesis and has been reading for about four months now. He\u2019s now in 2 Samuel. He tells me what he\u2019s read and is finding so many things he never knew before.<\/h6>\n
This thrills me to no end\u2026because he\u2019s not only reading God\u2019s word; God is changing him, transforming him, and giving him wisdom and understanding.<\/h6>\n
No one told Bob to start reading the Bible every morning at breakfast. He just started doing it.<\/h6>\n
We have been given the Holy Bible, inspired by God, and when we pray and ask the Holy Spirit to open our understanding he is more than willing to do that. Don\u2019t you think it would be ridiculous to have wisdom sitting at our fingertips, but never pick it up to read it. There are answers to every situation known to man in this book.<\/h6>\n
You want a lifetime instruction book? It\u2019s been around for hundreds of years. What a gold mine.<\/h6>\n
In our country you can buy one from a store for a dollar. Or order one that\u2019s leather bound with a commentary. People do still like the ones made of paper.<\/h6>\n
Now days you get them on digital and audio\u2026.you don\u2019t have to carry the \u201cbig book\u201d around, there\u2019s an App for your phone. Letters too small, just widen it on the screen and it is enlarged\u2026talking about at your fingertips\u2026<\/h6>\n
The point is\u2026OPEN IT UP and READ IT!!! Let the Holy Spirit open mysteries and secrets and life plans and dreams and how to raise your children and how to become the best person you\u2019d ever want to be\u2026read the true account about the Life of Jesus and see how the Old Testament and the New Testament are really all one book connected through time\u2026<\/h6>\n
There\u2019s healing, marriage restoring, relationship miracles and so much more\u2026<\/h6>\n
Read it with an open heart, pray and let God speak to you. Find a translation that you can understand and use Matthew Henry\u2019s \u2018free\u2019 commentary he\u2019ll explain to you what each verse is talking about.<\/h6>\n
If you saw someone starving literally to death, and needed food and water, wouldn\u2019t you give them what they needed or see that they got help? If that person was you\u2026wouldn\u2019t you want food and water? It\u2019s not just spiritual it is also for the body and the mind and the soul. Find out for yourself what it says about all that. Don\u2019t take someone else\u2019s word for it\u2026You, read it, so you won\u2019t be deceived. And when someone tries to tell you the Bible says this, or that, you will know for yourself what it says.<\/h6>\n
The Bible is\u2026sweeter than honey, a well, that never runs dry and, it is the words of God to live by! His words are written in a book\u00a0just for you.<\/h6>\n
I\u2019ve taken the liberty to give you one of the Epistles, a letter of James below\u2026<\/h6>\n
Lord Jesus, I ask that whoever reads your words today that you will give them new insight to who you are, and that it will inspire them to keep reading your word. They are Words of life and peace and hope. Holy Spirit, bring healing into the hearts of God\u2019s children. Amen.<\/em><\/h6>\n

Greetings.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Trials and Temptations<\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation\u2014since they will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.<\/em><\/h6>\n
When tempted, no one should say, \u201cGod is tempting me.\u201d For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Don\u2019t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Listening and Doing<\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it\u2014not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it\u2014they will be blessed in what they do.<\/em><\/h6>\n
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.<\/em><\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
