Pursued by a King

Born of lowly birth in a foreign land
Royalty…
Many do not understand…
A king lived as a servant, in His father’s house.
See him there meek yet strong and serene.
As he kneels in love and grace, always giving, not taking anything.
Misunderstood, not recognized…
He was crucified…and died…
The grave could not hold the king, from another world…
He lives within His kingdom, until His kingdom come…
Longing and pursuing His sweetheart, His love…
Leaving love letters and His promise, that of, a new birth
Gifts and the promise, when we leave this earth.
The King’s heart pursues, His bride to be…
Beloved and cherished, His kingdom we’ll see.
My fair one…my lady…
The King waits, patiently…

Song of Solomon 2:8-13 New King James Version
 The voice of my beloved!

Behold, he comes.
Leaping upon the mountains,
Skipping upon the hills.
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag.
Behold, he stands behind our wall.
He is looking through the windows,
Gazing through the lattice.
My beloved spoke, and said to me:
“Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away.
For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth.
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
Give a good smell.
Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away!
