Humble and Contrite

My heart, humble and contrite
Nothing else will do…
No sacrifice of bull or lamb
Can take the place of you…
Obedience out of love for thee,
Is what my heart doth bring…
A pure heart of love divine
Is my offering…
Take my life I pour it out
I walk by faith, not by sight, there’s no room for fear or doubt
You are the Christ, Messiah, Perfect Sacrifice…
High Priest, Hiding Place, My Rock, Deliverer, Prince of Peace…
Yeshua, HaShem…My Adonai…
Come now I pray, and take away, your Bride to the wedding feast…
Where love has won, and life, forever sweet…

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Psalm 51:17 New International Version (NIV)
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 New King James Version (NKJV)
But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.” Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them. 1 Samuel 15:22-24New International Version (NIV)
Jesus the Great High Priest
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:14-10:18 New International Version (NIV)

I love the Lord Jesus Christ and am passionate about writing. I hope you enjoy the blog and come to visit often. Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith. Habakkuk 2: 2-4
